Academics

Delta Omega Chapter prides itself on its academic achievements, and we have a scholastic program that is designed to support and encourage our members toward academic success. Our program features study halls, scholastic programming and tips, study buddy lists.  Our Academic Achievement Chair, Maria Wahal, encourages and assists members, and she and her assistants discuss study habits, create chapter GPA goals, and proctor study hall hours.  

We recognize members’ accomplishments through weekly with our "Geek of the Week" award. Each week before chapter, Maria selects a member who has been seen in the library or logged the most study hours. 

 Each semester ZTA hosts a scholarship pizza party to honor our member's academic success from the previous semester. Girls who earned their goal GPA get to celebrate a successful semester while eating pizza and hanging out with their sisters.  

The ZTA Foundation also awards scholarships to deserving ZTA members. In 2010-2012, students received more than $600,000 in scholarships!
